BROADWAY & ME (Tarzan)
COMPUTER, IPHONE, IPOD, IPAD, TABLET, ETC.
BUBBLES AND/OR BUBBLE MACHINE
CLEAN-UP BIN: Hampers, Tupperware, Baskets, or Ikea Bags work great!
DRUMS OR POTS + PANS: Don’t have a drum? Neither does Terk! Pats and pans are great percussion instruments. Don’t want all the noise of pots and pans create? Tupperware containers are a great (quieter) alternative.
FIRST WORD BOOKS: · We’re going to be showing Tarzan what things are called! Since the basis of language is understanding that everything has a name, first word books are at laying the foundation for children that the symbols on a page have meaning. Don’t have a first word book? You can always print out pictures of items in your home with the word written underneath as a caption!
RAIN STICKS: We are using rain sticks to show Tarzan the difference between rain in the jungle and rain in London. Shakers, ribbons, scarves - anything you can shake either fast or slow will work great!
JUNGLE ANIMALS: We’ll be using jungle animal shakers. You can dance along with your favorite jungle animal lovey or for our more mobile Broadway fans, do your favorite jungle animal dance!

BUBBLES AND/OR BUBBLE MACHINE
PUPPET: We'll be putting on a puppet show in class this week! Don't have a puppet handy? Here's how to make one using a stuffed animal in 6 East Steps!
MUSICAL INSTRUMENT: We'll be practicing for the Austrian Music Festival so have an instrument handy! Xylophones, toy pianos, and ukelele's work best but any instrument you have handy is great!

CIRCLE SHARE ITEM OR STORY Take a moment to talk to your child before class about what they want to share with their friends this week. If they want to share a toy or piece of art they've made, make sure to have it handy at the start of class!

3 NOISE MAKING OBJECTS We are going to work on our symbolic thinking by assigning a color to a sound! Each time we hold up that color we're going to ask the kids to play the corresponding sound. Any 3 items will do but make sure they are 3 different items (shaker, drum, guitar or tupperware, spoon, box of rice)

ROOM TO MOVE with a table or counter nearby to put your electronic device on. We want to be able to see you!
A PRIVATE SPACE Please find a quiet, private place for your child to participate in our virtual classes. Video conferencing can be difficult if there's too much going on in the background and we know some of our K-8 friends don't like when moms, dads, caregivers, and siblings watching them practice. 😉
