Broadway Prep is the ultimate creative learning experience for children ages 2.5 – 4 years old! Developed by a professional performer turned child development specialist, Broadway Prep combines the creativity and energy of musical theater classes with a play-based curriculum, giving children the opportunity to explore and learn through movement, music, art, and dramatic play. Each week parents will be provided with pictures from class as well as a Weekly Report sharing information about the week’s activities and their child’s individual development and learning.

Choose between part and full time enrollment to create the perfect schedule for your family.
Classes take place at Soul City Church (1150 W Adams St. Chicago 60607)
Fall Semester Dates:
September 3 - December 20
No Class: Tuesday, November 26 - Friday, November 29
Winter Semester Dates:
January 6 - March 21
Spring Semester Dates:
March 31 - June 6
No Class: Monday, May 26

Enrollment Policies:

Students must commit to the full semester upon enrolling.

Students are allowed to enroll after the start of semester as long as there is space in the class.

Students must be 2yr 4mo old in order to enroll.

Fall cut off: May 5, 2022

Winter/Spring cut off: September 5, 2022

Broadway Prep requires a minimum of 4 Students in order to run. Stages reserves the right to reduce the number of days Prep is offered at the start of each semester due to low enrollment.
Tuition Policies & Make-Ups,

Tuition will be due on the1st of the month.

Payment plans are available if you would like to break up the tuition amount into biweekly payments.

A 25% discount will be automatically applied to December Tuition to account for Winter Break.

If you enroll after the start of the semester, your first month's tuition will be prorated for any classes that have already taken place.

Once enrolled, tuition will NOT be prorated for missed classes due to overhead costs such as staffing and classroom rental fees.

Once tuition is paid, NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS WILL BE GIVEN.

Students enrolled in 1-4 day/wk will be given up to 2 make-up days per month.

With advance notice, students will be allowed to switch days to avoid missing class as long as there is availability.

Tuition for 5 Day enrollment has been reduced in order to account students not being able to do make-ups - for this reason no credits or refunds will be given for missed classes.
Cancelation Policy:

If you choose to withdraw your child from the program mid-year, written notification must be submitted to info@stageschicago.com prior to the 15th of the month in order to avoid being charged for the following month. While consideration will be given to extenuating circumstances, as a general rule, if a family chooses to unenroll effective immediately or fails to give adequate notice, tuition for any remaining days will be forfeited.
General Policies:

Broadway Prep is a DROP-OFF CLASS. That said, we understand that for many children, this will be their first separation experience. Prep teachers will work with parents to create a drop-off routine that is unique for each child and ensures both kiddos and their parents are comfortable.

Students are NOT required to be potty trained.

Diapers/pull-ups will not be changed unless a child poops or their diaper/pull-up is noticeably full.

Student will be asked to sit on the potty and "try" during classroom bathroom breaks.

Snacks will be provided. If your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please make sure to include this information on the enrollment forms that will be sent to you prior to the start of the semester.

Families are responsible for sending their child to class with a backpack, water bottle, and change of clothes everyday.

If a child is sick, they must be fever and symptom free for 24hs prior to returning to class.
MEET THE TEACHERS
Deanna Nutt
Deanna brings a unique blend of experience and expertise to the world of early education. Eight years of experience in daycare, preschool, and camp settings, have helped her hone her skills in creating engaging and educational experiences for young minds.
Deanna is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech, where she studied theater performance and education, graduating cum laude.
At Stages Chicago, Deanna is committed to fostering creativity and self-expression while instilling a love for learning and the arts.
Miranda Hunter
Miranda discovered her passion for working with young children in high school when she became a counselor in training at a Nashville theater camp. Since that time, Miranda has worked with young children in variety of formal and informal learning environments including several early learning centers. Outside of the classroom, Miranda works as a local comedian and playwright and was named the "Best Playwright of 2023" by the Chicago Reader. Miranda holds a Bachelor's Degree in Comedy Writing & Performance from Columbia College.
